St. Monica's Class of 1980 Reunion

Last Saturday at Sabah Hotel, the Primary School Reunion. A total of 25 of us turned up with the exception of 1 who "fong fei kei"! Haiz! People hor, came back all the way from KL, Singapore, KK and Labuan just for the Reunion! Hugs to you all! Some wanted to come back but couldn't - hopefully you all can make it to the next one. To those who could come and yet wouldn't...well maybe the next time, you'll be comfortable enough with yourself to join old friends?

Our last reunion was 15 years ago! This time round, we have all grown more matured! I'm NOT going to say I'm old even though the big 4 0 is around the corner! I for one, intend to grow advance in age gracefully as I believe all the ladies would agree..LOL!

Anyway thanks to Jess for the whole idea of the Reunion and for helping in looking up and calling all those missing links albeit having to juggle between busy schedules and all! HUGS to you!

Overall I guess I would have to say it was an enjoyable evening! Bet everyone had a few good laughs at all those childhood photos and old autographs with funny phrases and lousy grammars, that both Jess and I brought along. Yup! We were two very sentimental nuts! And Yes, we've kept them with us for 27 years!!!! I bet some of you from Class B have these childhood photos too, if only you take a bit of time to dig them out...haiz...Jess and I we had big plans at first for this Reunion. Jess wanted to prepare door gifts with little memorabilia, etc and I wanted to do a presentation of sort...but oh well no point if the presentation is only showing classmates from Class A and no one from Class B right? Oh well, we just can't do it with limited resources.

Hey come to think of it hor, other than the 1st reunion, I believed both of us were involved in the organizing of the all the previous gathering/reunions! Anyway I guess I could say the reunion was a success of sort, no doubt I would agree that there was room for improvement, and I don't hear any complaints (just maybe not to our faces lah) but the important thing was everyone present agreed and fixed a date for another gathering NEXT YEAR! Yes! On 9th August 2008! Now tell me, was it successful or not? :D But this time, Jess and I...I think we'll just sit back and relax and let someone else run the show!

Thumbs up to Helen! If it is not for you I would not have make the effort. Really happy to meet everyone. Like Chan Yan Yew said a lot of memories flash back these few days. I really hope Doreen Chong and Ho Ka Khin can see all these and contact us...Long lost friend...
